Dale Nolan

I was raised in a family who loved and served God. At an early age I put my faith in Jesus Christ who paid for my sins on the cross. I am thankful for the protection God gave me as a child from what the world had to offer me.

At the age of 12 I fell in love with skateboarding. It quickly took over my life. All I wanted to do was skateboard.

However, in 2008 I gave God 2 years of my life by attending the Word of Life Bible Institute. Which later led to my first trip to Taiwan with Word of Life in 2010. Surprisingly this is where I met my wife from Ohio.

After getting married, my wife and I spent a few years in Akron, OH. At this time I worked with First Glance running their skatepark ministry. However we both felt God's call back to Taiwan, despite loving the opportunities to use skateboarding at the time.

We moved back to Taiwan with Word of Life Inc. as our mission board, serving in camp and local church ministry. However, after serving for 5 years, we felt called away from this ministry with no clear plans to what was next. Then God put skateboarding back at the focus of my outreach, with SkateMin Asia.

Since moving back to Taiwan, we have had three girls and my wife began working with an organization that uses English to promote the gospel.

I want to use my talents and experience with skateboarding to reach a group of people in Taiwan and Asia that no one else was reaching, the skateboarders. I desire to see a group of skateboarders develop, who are dedicated to learning God's Word and influencing those around them.
